Despite being without quarterback JaJuan Lawson for the game, the Rams offense did not miss a beat with sophomore quarterback Vito Priore under center.

Leading 3-0 after the first quarter, the Rhode Island offense exploded for 24 points in the second quarter.

It started in the opening minute of the quarter when Priore connected with Aaron Parker on a 19-yard touchdown pass to put the Rams up 10- 0 after the extra point from CJ Carrick was good.

After forcing a Brown punt, the Rams offense got the ball back just three minutes later and cashed in.

Priore led the Rams on a nine play, 44-yard drive ending with a 25-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Coulter to put Rhode Island up 17-0 following a Carrick extra point.

Carrick would add a 19-yard field goal to give the Rams a 20-0 lead with five minutes left in the second quarter.

Rhode Island would score again just before the half when Priore connected with Marven Beauvais on a 44-yard touchdown pass to give the Rams a commanding 27-0 at the half.

URI would add three more touchdowns in the second half and cruise to the 48-0 win over Brown.

Priore completed 19 of 25 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns in his first career start.

Parker hauled in six passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns, while Beauvais hauled in nine passes for 105 yards and one touchdown.

On the other side, Brown quarterback Michael McGovern completed 11 passes for 101 yards and an interception.
