The National Weather Service is forecasting off-and-on snow in Rhode Island this weekend. 

 

Saturday

Showers, mainly after 4 pm. High near 46. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch possible.

 

Saturday Night

Showers are likely before 7 pm, then a chance of rain between 7 pm and 10 pm. Patchy fog before 8pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low of around 32. South wind 5 to 9 mph, becoming light and variable in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

 

Sunday

Rain is likely before 5 pm, then rain and snow. Patchy fog after 4 pm. High near 43. Light and variable wind becoming north around 6 mph in the morning. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.

 

Sunday Night

Snow is possibly mixed with rain before midnight, and then there is a chance of snow between midnight and 3 am. Patchy fog between 1 am and 2 am. Patchy freezing fog between 9pm and 1am. Low around 15. North wind 6 to 10 mph, becoming northwest after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is possible.
