Man Exposed Himself to 15-Year-Old Girl in Downtown Providence - Police Apprehend Suspect

According to police, the suspect was known to frequent Kennedy Plaza.

About Incident
According to police, the incident occurred Friday morning at the corner of Clemence Alley and Washington Street — one block from City Hall.
The suspect reportedly exposed himself to a 15-year-old girl who was walking to school.
He then fled the scene.
The suspect was later located by police and apprehended.
Police say the suspect was identified as Thomas Watson, age 68.
Latest Downtown
As GoLocal reported, between July 1 and 23, there were eleven assaults at Kennedy Plaza, including one that took place directly across the street next to City Hall.
In September, Mayor Brett Smiley and Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez announced the city's annual "Kennedy Plaza drug bust."
22 individuals were arrested for illegal drug sales in Kennedy Plaza.
Later that day, GoLocal reported that a woman had a brick thrown at her head while boarding a bus in Kennedy Plaza, shortly after the city's press conference.
On October 1, Providence Police broke up a fight involving more than 60 juveniles in Kennedy Plaza as schools let out.
An altercation between students saw one female treated by rescue after she had an ear piercing ripped out.
