Three People Arrested Tied to Prostitution Raids in Providence and North Providence
Providence Police announced the arrests on Tuesday. Photo: FileProvidence Police have announced the names of three people being charged as a result of an investigation into alleged prostitution activities in Providence and North Providence.
As GoLocal first reported on Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Providence Police, and North Providence Police conducted raids on Monday.
According to Providence Police, the following individuals have been arrested from raids in Providence and North Providence.
At the North Providence location at 40 High Service Avenue, Blanca Hernandez, age 52, was arrested and charged on three felony counts: pandering, maintaining a nuisance, and one count of conspiracy.
Julio Hernandez, age 48, was arrested at the same location on the same charges. Police say they are brother and sister.
At 1911 Westminster Street in Olneyville in Providence, police arrested and charged Carlos Lopez, age 53, on the same charges.
Two women were reportedly taken into police custody and turned over to social services and given temporary housing.
