The Blue Jays jumped on Porcello right from the first inning.

Toronto’s Kendrys Morales hit a three-run home run in the first inning to put the Blue Jays up 3-0.

Boston would get two runs back in the bottom of the second to make the score 3-2, before the Blue Jays would pull away.

Jose Bautista hit a solo home run in the third inning to make it 4-2 before teammate Raffy Lopez blasted a three-run home run in the top of the sixth to chase Porcello from the game and give Toronto a 7-2 lead.

Boston would make it 7-4 with a run in the bottom of the inning and another in the 7th, but that would be all they would score.

Toronto added three runs in the top of the 9th to cruise to the 10-4 win.

Series Continues

The Red Sox and Blue Jays continue their series on Tuesday, September 5 at 7 p.m.

The pitching matchup is Boston’s Eduardo Rodriguez against Toronto’s Marco Estrada.
