The Providence College Friars and URI Rams are both in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years.

This year, both URI and PC will be 11 seeds with the Friars facing USC in a first four game. The Rams will face Creighton in the first round.

The last time both teams made the tournament was 1997 when they both received at-large bids out of the Atlantic 10 and Big East conferences respectively. In fact, they were in the same region.
