The highest recorded snowfall in Rhode Island was 17.5 inches, according to the National Weather Service’s latest report, last recorded at 1:15 AM on Monday. Expect these numbers to be updated on Monday morning.
In Providence, the high was 16.5 inches, according to the NWS.

Runway operations at Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport have reopened and the terminal is fully operational and ready to support passengers. While airfield operations are fully available, passengers should continue to monitor their flight status with their airline prior to traveling to the airport, as some delays and cancellations may persist during the recovery process.

RIPTA Issues
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority announced that seventeen routes are on detour on Monday, due to winter weather conditions. Routes 13, 14, 16, 18, 21, 22, 23, 27, 30, 50, 55, 56, 58, 60, 64, 66 and 92 are currently on detour. Riders may expect some delays on all routes due to weather conditions and are advised to use extreme caution at bus stops due to decreased visibility and slippery conditions.
All Park & Ride service on Routes 9x, 10x, 12x, 14, 24L, 59x, 61x, 65x, and 95x has been cancelled for Monday, January 26, 2026.
