Christian Vazquez hits first home run in over a year.
Despite two rain delays that totaled 2 hours and 6 minutes, the Boston Red Sox cruised past the Minnesota Twins 9-2 on Tuesday night at Fenway Park.

Red Sox manager John Farrell was suspended for the game following an incident during Saturday’s game in which he was thrown out after arguing with umpires.

The Red Sox improve to 43-34 on the season and are in sole possession of first place in the AL East.

Boston’s Chris Young would cap off the scoring the sixth inning with a three run home run  to give the Red Sox a 9-1 lead.

They would go on to win the game 9-2.
