The Friars trailed Seton Hall 37-29 at the half before opening the second half on a 16-5 run to take a 45-42 lead with 14:30 left to play.

That three also gave Henton 2,000 points in his career making him only the second player in Friars history to notch 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
Seton Hall would get to within four, 52-48, however, Providence extended their lead and the Pirates would not get closer than nine points the rest of the way.
Leading the way
LaDontae Henton and Ben Bentil each netted 21 points in the game to lead Providence, while Kris Dunn followed up with 17 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
Seton Hall was led by Isaiah Whitehead and Brandon Mobley, who each poured in 13 points.
One regular season game left
The Friars return to action on Saturday, March 7 when they host #21 Butler at noon time at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The winner of the game will clinch the number two seed in next weeks Big East tournament.

Five Takeaways From the Friars 79-66 Win Over Seton Hall
Carson Desrosiers
Carson Desrosiers returned to the Friars lineup after missing the last two games with a knee injury.
Desrosiers wore a knee brace and played 19 minutes off the bench, scoring two points and grabbing two rebounds. He also recorded one block in the game.
Carson Desrosiers brings senior leadership to what is overall a young Friars team and it appears that he will be healthy for the post season which will be huge for Providence.
2nd Half Kris Dunn
Kris Dunn did not do many good things in the first half as Providence struggled and looked like they were on the verge of getting blown out for a little while.
However, in the second half he turned it on, scoring all 17 of his points and grabbing seven of his eight rebounds in the second frame.
Dunn also dished out eight assists and recorded two steals in the game.
Ben Bentil
Ben Bentil kept the Friars in the game in the first half and ended up with a career game.
Bentil netted a career high 21 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field and 12-of-12 from the free throw line.
Bentil also grabbed 10 rebounds, 7 of which came on the offensive end.
If PC can get Bentil to give them something similar on a nightly basis, it could be a game changer for Providence.
Second Chance Points
Providence dominated the boards, out rebounding Seton Hall 39-22 in the game including 12-4 in offensive rebounds.
Ben Bentil led Providence with 7 offensive rebouns and Paschal Chukwu grabbed four to lead PC.
Off of their 12 offensive rebounds, Providence cashed in for 20 points, beating Seton Hall 20-0 in second chance points.
Impressive performance on the glass by the Friars.
LaDontae Henton
With just under 13 minutes to go in the second half LaDontae Henton nailed a three-pointer to give PC a 52-45 lead.
The three-pointer also gave Henton 2,000 points in his career and makes him only the second Friar ever to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds in a career.
The only other player to accomplish this feat was Ryan Gomes who did it in 2005.
Henton netted 21 points against Seton Hall on 8-of-15 shooting from the field and grabbed seven rebounds to help lead Providence.
