22 to Watch in RI in 2022 - SEE THE LIST

For more than a decade, GoLocal has identified emerging talent and changemakers that are poised to transform the direction of Rhode Island.

In the first year, we developed the list -- the 11 to Watch in 2011 -- it included former Red Sox star and entrepreneur Curt Schilling who had just received a record $75 million in state funding. The company was supposed to make Rhode Island a gaming hub.

That first year’s list also included one of Rhode Island's hottest bands, Deer Tick, and what was thought to be the springboard for a technology startup revolution in the state led by Betaspring Founders Allan Tear, Owen Johnson & Jack Templin.

Since then, we have identified nearly 200 Rhode Islanders to watch over the past decade.

This year’s list is a mix of musicians, politicians, non-profit leaders, and artists all set to lead, transform, and transform the state in the next year and beyond.
